Every herb is unique and dosages vary accordingly, but there are some general guidelines that can be very helpful. Extract dosages can be measured in drops, dropperfuls, milliliters (ml.), or teaspoons. A dropperful is about 15-20 drops, or 1ml. A teaspoon is roughly equivalent to 5ml. The most commonly used dose for tinctures is 20-40 drops or 1-2 dropperfuls. In general, the more acute a condition, the more frequent the doses. Safe dosage ranges are fairly broad with most, but not all, herbs. We highly recommend that you use a good herbal reference and become familiar with the individual characteristics of the herbs you are using.

Somebody please answer this question in the simplest form, how many milligrams of CBD oil are in a tablespoon. i can’t take more then 40 milligrams or it will raise my eye pressure. So I beg of you, anyone please tell me how many tablespoons of CBD oil should I take? Thank you Brian
Brian, we will try to find out:)
Did anyone ever reply to your comment? Also, why does CBD raise your eye pressure?
Hi Sean,
We don’t sell CBD oil so this isn’t within our knowledge domain, though there are a number of web sites that should be able to help, if you Google them.

I tremble very bad and I am supposed to take 15 drops of cbd however I tremble too much to put 15 drops under my tongue., Are there any eye droppers that automatically just measure that exact amount (15 drops? I have an eyedropper that when you squeeze the rubber top it sucks up about 30 drops of liquid but once again I would have to half that and I wouldn’t know how much. I need help
Something like this might work for you: https://www.premiumvials.com/1-oz-black-calibrated-glass-dropper-20-400/?gclid=CKSKleiy49QCFRS4wAodKfwCuw
Is a dropperful more if the bottle is larger and thus the dropper vial is longer? Or is the dropperful consistent across sizes (regulated by the bulb on top or something)? In other words, have a 1 oz bottle with a tiny dropper and and a 4 oz bottle with a longer dropper – am I taking more herbs if I use the dropper and the 4 oz bottle?
Hi Kara, While the pipette is longer the rubber bulbs are all the same, meaning that the amount you get in each dropper, regardless of bottle size, is basically the same with one good squeeze. One dropperful is roughly equivalent to 30 dropper or one ml. Hope this helps:)
Thanks for this information, I needed it .
Hello,
My mum has terminal cancer and i currently extracting six different tinctures, each made on a 90% alcohol base (that i will dilute down to a safe percentage after straining sitting and extracting.).
The tinctures are Graviola, Soursop, Gumby Gumby (also known as Gumbi Gumbi), Herb Robert, Moringa and Gotu Kola. I am making each separately but she will take each one, each day.
My questions are:
1. If the base is 90% alcohol, what percentage should I dilute down to to make it safe?
2. What is the maximum safe amount of drops she can have a day? (so i can dived between the separate tinctures).
We can not afford to keep buying the tinctures she needs so i need to make them.
Many thanks.
Karla, I will share with our team of herbalists though typically we are not able to advise on these matters.
I’m wondering if I’m using too much or too little when I’m mixing multiple ones. like deep stress, cedar Texas, and immune boosting or biotic one. Do you guys have like maybe a chart or table with a way more in depth measurement for when you are mixing.
We don’t have a chart. However, let us know your specific question and we will pass it on to
our staff of herbalists. Thank you:)
Hi when you say dose is that per day?
Hi Robert,
Thanks for asking. That is for a specific dose not a daily dose. For more instructions

Thanks!
